LINCOLN STUDENTS AND ALUMNI URGED TO PRE-REGISTER
The Nov. 4th Fair at Lincoln’s campus in southern Chester County is attracting major hiring corporations, including Acme Markets, and Walgreens. Admissions officials from some of the nation’s leading graduate and professional schools are also seeking to recruit Lincoln students and alumni.
LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA – Lincoln University, widely noted for producing leaders to shape the nation and the world, is presenting its successful Annual Graduate and Professional School and Career Fair on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, to create employment and internship opportunities for students and alumni at the historic campus in southern Chester County, PA.
The Career Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., inside Lincoln’s main gymnasium at Rivero Hall and is expected to attract over 60 organizations, including major hiring corporations and admissions officials from some of the nation’s leading graduate and professional schools.
“In these very challenging times, Lincoln’s Career Fair underscores our commitment to providing our students and alumni with outstanding opportunities to showcase their talents,” said University President Ivory V. Nelson, Ph.D. “Recruiters are attracted to Lincoln because our students are equipped with the competitive, marketable and leadership skills required for success in graduate school and in the global marketplace.”
According to Walgreen, one of this nation’s leading retailers for consumer goods, pharmacy, and health and wellness services, Lincoln is fertile ground for recruiters because of the high quality of the applicants.
Open only to Lincoln students and alumni, the Career Fair is organized by the University’s Office of Career Services, which provides students with individual counseling, and workshop seminars designed to develop students into leaders who will impact positively their communities, the nation and the world. Students and alumni planning to attend the Career Fair are urged to first pre-register with Career Services in suite 241 of Dickey Hall (ext. 7102), and receive the list of registered companies and graduate schools.
In addition, students should utilize Career Services to help research the companies and graduate schools, assist in preparing an effective resume, and receive tips on dressing and presenting for successful interviews.
